Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair, a prominent Pakistani Sunni thinker, stated that the courage and conduct of the martyred Iranian president will be permanently and honorably recorded in history.
"The legacy of Martyr Raeisi extends beyond his distinguished service in safeguarding Iran's national independence and Islamic values," Zubair said. "He played an influential role across the Islamic world, particularly in championing the right to self-determination for the oppressed Palestinian nation." According to the scholar, the late president remained a steadfast supporter of the Palestinian liberation movement, defending truth and justice in the face of hegemonic powers.
The Pakistani intellectual further underscored the deep-rooted bonds between Iran and Pakistan, stating that the hearts of the two nations beat as one. "The fraternal relations between our peoples rest upon the solid foundations of shared faith, culture, history, and Islamic brotherhood," he remarked.
Zubair emphasized that the courageous and zealous Iranian nation, through unity, resilience, and historic sacrifices, has thwarted the conspiracies of global arrogance and rendered its enemies unsuccessful.
Turning to the situation in Palestine, he declared: "The Palestinian people have endured decades of oppression and violence, yet their spirit and resolve remain unshaken. It is the duty of the Islamic Ummah today to demonstrate complete solidarity with the Palestinian nation and to vigorously continue supporting their legitimate rights."
The scholar stressed that the friendship between Pakistan and Iran transcends mere geography, rooted instead in lasting bonds of faith, culture, and mutual trust. "The two countries have consistently cooperated for shared interests, security, and regional stability," he noted, citing expanding trade ties, border cooperation, and agreements related to regional peace and stability as tangible examples.
Zubair expressed hope that both nations would adopt a joint strategy moving forward, taking more effective steps to strengthen Islamic unity and regional development.
In concluding his tribute to the martyred president, the Pakistani religious expert affirmed that the path and character of Martyr Raeisi can serve as a beacon of guidance for Muslim leaders.
